Case Study
Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd and UNSW Engineering academics have been collaborating through a Linkage Grant, to improve the quality of steel products. The aim of the project was to develop new techniques for cold rolling. The completion of the project as led to an innovative roll surface hardening technology and a new technique to characterise friction and rolling pressure.
